Keep the clothes simple

Newborn skin is new to the world. Choose a soft cotton baby romper you can open without a fight, and a spare for the inevitable spit-up. At Mumzy Kids we pack little clothes full of love: envelopes at the neck, snaps where they help, nothing scratchy at the seam.

Have two or three rompers in the first size, not a drawer of outfits. Pretty little things matter; piles of unused sets do not.

A small rhythm

Warm the room before a change. Keep a cloth nearby. Wash new cotton once before the first wear if you can. If something feels rough, set it aside — baby clothes in the heat should breathe, not cling.
